PTPI is proud to announce that over 40 chapters in 16 countries took part in Global Youth Service Day (GYSD)! Students made an impact around the world in Turkey, Uganda, Bulgaria, Russia, Estonia, Bahamas, Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Croatia, Egypt, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, South Korea, the Palestinian Territories, and the USA.
PTPI GYF Humanitarian Conference
People to People International's Global Youth Forum Humanitarian Conference (GYFHC) strives to immerse participants in cultural, educational and humanitarian activities while engaging them in thoughtful discussions about their role in the world. This is an annual, two-week international program for students aged 16-18. Past destinations include South Africa (2005), Russia (2006)and Poland/Czech Republic (2007). The 2008 GYFHC was held in Egypt between July 24 - August 3!







PTPI's first ever regional conference for Middle East and Africa
PTPI's first Middle East and Africa Regional Conference with the theme Inspiring Youth to Take the Lead was held in Egypt from Sept. 11-16, 2008. The event brought together members and officers from the region for chapter development sessions, discussions about regional awareness and opportunities to build lifelong friendships!

Lebanon and Egypt represented in Šternberk, Czech Republic
PTPI's Middle East members from Egypt and Lebanon participated in a Young Generation conference hosted by PTPI's Šternberk Chapter located in Šternberk, Czech Republic. The conference was held from December 27, 2007 - January 3, 2008 with a theme "Let's do it our way''
PTPI's Worldwide Conference, Cairo - Egypt
PTPI’s 18th Worldwide Conference: Symposium on Peace and Conflict brought together approximately 200 delegates from more than 20 countries at the Semiramis Intercontinental in the fascinating city of Cairo, Egypt. Countries and territories represented included: Albania, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mondovia, Mongolia, Palestinian Territories, Puerto Rico, Senegal, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Taiwan, South Korea, United Kingdom and the United States.
The purpose of People to People International (PTPI) is to enhance international understanding and friendship through educational, cultural and humanitarian activities involving the exchange of ideas and experiences directly among peoples of different countries and diverse cultures. It will cooperate with any and all other organizations which are of similar nature and purpose.
People to People International is dedicated to enhancing cross-cultural communication within each community, and across communities and nations. Tolerance and mutual understanding are central themes. While not a partisan or political institution, PTPI supports the basic values and goals of its founder, President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
PTPI's Global Youth Forum will be held in Denver, Colorado USA, November 12-16, 2008. Join PTPI's President/CEO, Mary Jean Eisenhower, for this annual four-day conference that brings together 250 students ages 13-18 from around the world. Hear amazing speakers, participate in interactive workshops and bring home tools that will help you promote peace and understanding in your own community.
