You are invited to join PTPI's President and CEO, Mary Jean Eisenhower, in the "Peach State" for the 2010 Global Youth Forum! In Atlanta, you will spend four exciting days exploring PTPI's mission of Peace through Understanding, and how it specifically relates to this year's theme, Global Health. Come to the GYF to learn about the world's most challenging health issues, possible solutions to prevent and treat disease and ways to make the world a healthier place.
Approximately 250 students will gather at the Hilton Atlanta Hotel in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, November 10-14, 2010, for this inspiring conference. We hope that you will join us at this prestigious event, as we more deeply explore PTPI's mission as it relates to health issues around the globe. Highlights of this event will include:
- A keynote address presented by PTPI's President and CEO (and granddaughter of U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower!), Mary Jean Eisenhower.
- An interactive student panel, featuring your peers from across the globe.
- A service project with MedShare - do your part to promote health around the world.
- A taste of the South on a tour of Atlanta, including a visit to The King Center and Centennial Olympic Park.
- A reunion with friends from around the world.

2010 People to People International Global Youth Forum
International Student Panel Scholarship
What is the Panel?
The International Student Panel at the GYF will serve as a forum for students of diverse backgrounds and cultures to share and dialogue about their experiences within their home country. Each participant will be provided with a list of pre-planned questions to prepare prior to their arrival at the GYF, though there will also be an unscripted question and answer time that will occur between the panel participants and the entire GYF delegation.
Students selected to sit on the panel will receive a full tuition scholarship to the 2010 GYF in Atlanta, Georgia USA that will cover their lodging, food and activities beginning November 10, 2010 and ending on November 14, 2010. The scholarship will also include the price of roundtrip airfare between the students’ hometown and Atlanta National Airport (ATL). Costs of visas, Unaccompanied Minor fees or passport fees are not included.
Qualifications for Consideration:

16 – 18 years of age during the time of the Global Youth Forum

A high school student (even if students are 18 years of age, but a university student, they will not be considered)

Excellent communication skills
-
High degree of fluency in the English language

Comfortable speaking in front of large groups

Knowledge of world affairs

Active within their community

Commitment to and belief in the mission of People to People International

Based on the strength of your application, you will be contacted by PTPI World Headquarters for a phone interview, By July 9, you will be notified of our decision.
Students selected to participate on the panel will receive a full tuition scholarship to the 2010 GYF in Atlanta, GA USA! The scholarship covers the cost of lodging, food and all activities during the GYF. PTPI will also pay for round trip airfare between the student’s home town and Atlanta. Cost of passports, visas and unaccompanied minor fees is not included.
