The Global Peace Initiative (GPI) is one of People to People International’s (PTPI) signature programs that promotes Peace through Understanding among peoples of all nations and religions. Led by its founder, Mary Jean Eisenhower, PTPI’s President and Chief Executive Officer, this bi-yearly initiative engages participants in citizen diplomacy through life-changing experiences and humanitarian events. Itineraries are carefully crafted to include multiple opportunities to meet and listen to some of the leading authorities on such subjects as politics, education, history, religion, culture and more. The cultural and historical aspect of the program is filled with some of the most extraordinary topics and sights.
On December 7, 2003, Ms. Eisenhower led the inaugural Global Peace Initiative to Egypt. After an unprecedented success and extremely positive responses to the program, PTPI adopted the Global Peace Initiative as a signature program. This “life changing event” has continued every two years.
Join us on this global quest to make our world a more peaceful place, and at the same time see how you can make a world of difference. Are you up to the challenge?
